This policy explains what personal information MB Bars & Events collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.

MB Bars & Events Ltd is a mobile bar hire business based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described below.

If you complete the enquiry form on this website, we collect the information you choose to enter: your name, email address, phone number, the type of event, the date, approximate guest numbers, the venue or location, and any details you add about your event.
We do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not collect any special category data.
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and to prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.
We will not add you to a mailing list, and we will not send you marketing you did not ask for.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
Three service providers handle it on our behalf in the course of running this website:
We may also share your details with a partner supplier where you have asked us about something we arrange through them, such as stretch tent hire. We will tell you if that applies to your enquiry.
If your enquiry does not lead to a booking, we keep it for up to 12 months, so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. If it does lead to a booking, we keep the records for six years after the event, which is the period we are required to retain business records for tax purposes.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no tracking of your activity across other sites.
If you switch the site between light and dark mode, your choice is stored in your own browser so the site remembers it next time. Nothing about that is sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. As part of delivering them, Google receives your IP address and browser information. Google’s own privacy policy governs that.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.
